The Fine Print

• All prices in Canadian dollars and are subject to 13% tax.
• Waterfront cottages only rent by the week in summer. Cottages 6-11 from Friday to Friday (June 29 - August 31). Cottages 3-5, 12, 14 & 16 from Saturday to Saturday (June 30 - September 1). Cottage 2 & 16 - minimum 3 night stay with Saturday or Tuesday check-in.
• Fall through spring weekly rentals can start any day of the week, but Saturday check-ins are subject to a $100 surcharge.
• For fall through spring rentals there is a two night minimum stay on weekends. Single night mid week rentals are possible, but subject to a surcharge to the mid week rate.
• Three night minimum for statutory holiday weekends and Christmas Holidays (Dec 21-Jan 2).
• 2 bedroom rates based on 4 people occupancy; 3 bedroom based on 6 people occupancy.
• Extra Person Charge -- $15/day or $75 per week; children 8-15 1/2 price; 7 and under free.
• An extra pet fee of $15/day or $100/week applies (pet friendly cottages only).
• All bookings require a credit card for damage deposit and renter must be 25 years or older.
• A minimum $150 cleaning or damage surcharge will be applied if cottage is not left in the same state as check in or litter is found scattered around the cottage grounds.
• Check-in time 3pm. Check-out is 10am June thru September & 11am all other times of the year. Note, the host will greet you at your cottage after arrival.



Cancellation Policy

A booking deposit of 50% of your stay (Visa or MasterCard) is required to hold a reservation. The balance is due on arrival (Visa, MasterCard, cash or Travelers Cheque accepted). Deposit is refundable less $50 administration fee, only if notice of cancellation is made 4 weeks prior to arrival date. If a cancellation is made less than 4 weeks prior to your arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations must be made by e-mail and acknowledged by Barry's Bay Cottage Resort. We reserve the right to reject any booking application. A reservation is a firm contract; no allowance can be made for late arrival, early departures or short term cancellation.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings. Please help keep the property clean and use the ash trays provided. A minimum $300 cleaning surcharge will be applied if buildings are found to be smoked in or cigarette butts are discarded around the cottage grounds.



Pet Policy

Pets are allowed at designated cottages only [Blue Jay (#2); Gray Wolf (#5), Cotton Tail (#7), Red Fox (#9) & White-tail (#12)] and must be registered when reservations are made. We have the right to refuse all requests and please do not show up with pets that are not registered without advance confirmation. An extra pet fee of $15/day or $100/week applies.

We ask that you respect the following resort policies regarding pets:

• Pets must be leashed at all times when outside.
• Pets are not to be left unattended inside or outside of the cottages.
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds.
• No animals on the beach area, or in the Moose Lounge. A pet access to the lake is found between cottage 7 & 8.
• Please be a responsible owner and clean up after your pet.
If any of the above policies are not followed, a minimum $150 surcharge will be applied. Thank you for helping us keep the resort grounds clean and fun for everyone.

Boat Rentals

Barry's Bay Cottage Resort is proud to offer motor boat rentals. Anglers or those who like to cruise around the lake can pre-book a boat and have it delivered right to their dock. They come with extra gas, life jackets and safety kits in 12 foot lengths with 6 hp engines. A Pleasure Craft Operators Card is needed to rent a boat.

Note: there is no boat launch on the lake.

Private Canoe Rentals

Looking for your own canoe or kayak for the week or weekend? Why not book a private canoe that will be delivered to your door by Algonquin Bound. Featuring 16 foot Kevlar or similar canoes, these are the classic touring canoe to get out and explore Carson Lake and beyond. All rentals include paddles, life jackets and safety kit. Private kayak rentals are also available.

Snowshoe Rentals

Trail enthusiasts need not stay home during the winter. You can now explore our winter wonderland with lightweight aluminum shaft bear paw snowshoes. They are easy and affordable to use and give you the ability to explore our area trails year round.
